Born in New York City as a closeted kid, Alexis is forced to follow his family to... rural Germany. Ugh. Diva down. Discovering women online is his only salvation: Céline, Whitney, Mariah, Beyoncé... you name 'em, he got 'em. They are his MOTHERS and he is OBSESSED. With 10 original songs, sung and played live on keyboard, Alexis shares the queer joy he discovered in stanning, while also confronting the hardships (somehow being obsessed with women makes you... gay?! Wow...) Does this queer Bo Burnham have what it takes to be... a lil gay diva?!

About the Artist

Alexis (@alexis_sakellaris) is a queer international musical comedian born in NYC and raised in rural Germany. A childhood between coasts resulted in a hot chaotic mess that includes UK boarding school (meh) a 2-year stint in med school (lol) and an undergrad in German musical theatre (huh?) They were finally brought back on track with drama school in London. After supporting comedian Matt Rogers on tour in 2023, Alexis locked themselves in a room and banged out their debut show A STAN IS BORN!, which has enjoyed critical acclaim and sold-out runs at Soho Theatre London, Edinburgh and Brighton Fringes, the Brooklyn Comedy Collective and the Zurich Comedy Festival. Alexis is super stoked to be debuting their show in Philly and hopes to see more queer coming-of-age stories emerge!
