As a Latinx queer woman, I create work rooted in storytelling, vulnerability, and the belief that movement can reveal truths that words often cannot. My choreography explores themes of silenced individuality, the diminishment of female rage, the complexities of grief and trauma, and the ways greed and emotional desensitization shape our relationships with ourselves and others. Each piece is driven by narrative, inviting audiences into worlds that are both deeply personal and universally human.
Dance has always been more than an art form for me; it is a means of healing, expression, and understanding. Through movement and music, I seek to transform lived experiences, emotions, and questions into stories that can be felt as much as they are seen. I am particularly interested in giving space to emotions and perspectives that are often dismissed, hidden, or left unspoken, allowing them to take shape on stage with honesty and complexity.
My goal is not simply to perform, but to connect. If even one audience member sees themselves reflected in a gesture, a moment, or a story, then the work has fulfilled its purpose. I believe that dance has the power to build empathy, foster reflection, and create moments of recognition between strangers. Through these works, I hope to offer a space where audiences can engage with discomfort, resilience, sorrow, rage, and joy, and perhaps leave feeling a little more seen, understood, or connected than when they arrived.
This performance is a collection of stories told through bodies in motion, an invitation to witness, feel, and remember the power of human connection.

Lismari Rosario is a Philadelphia-based dancer and choreographer whose work is rooted in storytelling, emotional honesty, and human connection. A proud Drexel University alumna, she has choreographed works for the Drexel Dance Ensemble and presented choreography at the American College Dance Association (ACDA). As a Latina queer artist, she draws from both personal experience and collective narratives to create work that explores identity, grief, resilience, female rage, trauma, and the complexities of being seen and understood.
For Lismari, dance is more than movement; it is a form of healing, expression, and dialogue. Her creative process values not only her own lived experiences but also those of the dancers she collaborates with. She approaches choreography as a shared exploration, inviting performers to contribute their stories, perspectives, and emotional truths to the work. Through this collaborative process, she seeks to create pieces that are not simply performances, but experiences that resonate deeply with both performers and audiences.
Driven by a belief in the power of narrative, Lismari creates immersive works that encourage reflection, empathy, and connection. Her greatest hope is that each piece reaches at least one audience member, offering a moment of recognition, understanding, or transformation through the shared language of movement.
