Always, Sometimes, Maybe

Michele Stine

Art for Young Audiences, Clown, Theater

Connect

Fresh from its' World Premiere at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Always, Sometimes, Maybe is a solo clown show about a janitor who finds herself in front of an audience. Left with nothing but her fear, some trash, and her imagination, she tries to find connection.

Always, Sometimes, Maybe is a story about desperation, feeling alone, and ultimately finding a community. Using physical comedy, puppetry, dance, and non-verbal storytelling, this is a warm, accessible experience suitable for all ages and backgrounds. A funny, tender journey into what it means to be alone – and how we find our way back to each other.

With over 100 offerings from rebellious circus, delicious dance, fearless theatre and activist art to workshops, parties, and more Cannonball pushes the boundaries of live performance at four different venues this Fringe. Come as you are and stay past bedtime at cannonballfestival.org.

About the Artist

Michele Stine is an actor, clown, and puppeteer. They spend time digging through trash alleys for materials, much to their mothers dismay. Michele has performed with Rough House Theatre, Filament Theatre, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Theatre Unspeakable, Lifeline Theatre, Emerald City Theatre, Theatre SUMM, and some other companies too. They like cheese-its, ice cream, and talking about theatre audience experiences and considerations.

Michele thinks that bios are strange because its short for biography, but they were given a word count of 100. Seems like not enough, but here we are. Exciting! Word count: 97 (including this bit)
