This is a work in progress reading and concert sing-through of all songs with live music.

About the Artist

NICK JONCZAK (he/him) is a writer, director, and producer of live performance. He co-founded the Cannonball Festival, which centers peer-to-peer curation and redistributes resources to independent artists. Nick's original scripts include AMERICANNIBAL (former title: MAN OF LA MANCHIN, Winner, Christ Church Neighborhood House New Play Festival), DEATH HUSTLE (Semifinalist, Sundance Episodic Lab), TRANSMISSION (Finalist, Film Impact Georgia; Festival Official Selection: Cucaloras, Summer in the South, Georgia Film Festival, Atlanta Womens Film Festival), RUST (Finalist, Creative Capital). He's a current member of The Foundry playwrights group at PlayPenn and a former member of the Cut Edge Collective of playwrights in NYC. As a producer, Nick has led more than 20 original, full-length, live productions, including massive outdoor performance events (Invisible River), sprawling immersive adventures (New Paradise Laboratories), bawdy funk bands (Red 40 and the Last Groovement), and intimate, experimental circus (Almanac Dance Circus Theatre). www.nickjonczak.com www.cannonballfestival.org


Vanessa Ogbuehi is a director of new plays and devised theatre. Through a maximalist aesthetic and cross-disciplinary collaboration, Vanessa pushes everyday stories to mythic proportions. Recently, she assistant directed Heartbeat Operas Lady M, which the New York Times called Flat-out brilliant. While the Director of Digital, Film, & Interactive Media at Pig Iron Theatre Company, she collaborated with filmmaker Josephine Decker on The Path of Pins or The Path of Needles, an immersive performance about fairy tales and motherhood. Other past collaborators include Double Edge Theatre and The Bearded Ladies Cabaret. University direction includes Orlando (Boston University), Metamorphoses (Villanova), and Resilient: Black Bottom (Drexel), a student-written piece. Vanessa was awarded a 2023 Drama League Assistantship, paired with Dawn Monique Williams for the world premiere of
