This piece is being built amidst a huge life event: Shosh is getting top surgery! Exploring themes of anticipation, looping, and major change, Shosh, Nella, and Claire take advantage of this transitional period by creating a truly collaborative piece.
Now being post-grad, we each have explored other ways to incorporate art into our lives, whether through arts admin work, music, or photography. This is our first attempt to create a piece together. Some of this work will include multimedia aspects, vocalizations, intense choreography, and sonic manipulation. We dream of a whimsical piece, showcasing Shosh as an emcee of sorts, directing a chorus of Philadelphians. They act as the “contrarion,” interpreting collective frustration within social, political, and interpersonal worlds.
With over 100 offerings from rebellious circus, delicious dance, fearless theatre and activist art to workshops, parties, and more Cannonball pushes the boundaries of live performance at four different venues this Fringe. Come as you are and stay past bedtime at cannonballfestival.org.

Shosh Isaacs:
My work exists at the intersection of dance and photography, sometimes merging them, sometimes letting them stand apart. Through dance, I embody emotion and energy; through photography, I capture and preserve those fleeting moments.Navigating two rolesdancer in front of the camera and photographer behind it allows me to explore the tension between experiencing movement and documenting it. Years of formal dance training have shaped my understanding of the body, but my artistry extends beyond technique. I am interested in the raw, instinctive, and deeply personal stories that movement can tell. Each of my projects is an experiment in self-discovery and collaboration, often revealing its deeper themes only in hindsight.
