Thank you for an incredible 2023 Fringe Festival! Stay tuned for information about 2024.
By expanding traditional, heteropatriarchal masculinity into a practice of gentleness and connection, Dream Sweet, Rough Man uplifts possibilities for feminist queer masculinities to take root in men’s bodies and move through the world.
We invite the high school hunk, 80s rockstars, frequenters of gay clubs and coffee shops, memories of trans boyhood, and ragged denim desires to play together, building options through which embodied manhood can thrive.
Using dance and fashion to disrupt common masculine narratives, this show breaks down barriers which prevent masculine connection, moving towards more intimate, authentic and integrated manhoods.
Cannonball, produced by Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, is the first and largest independent festival hub of the Philadelphia Fringe that presents risk-taking independent artists in back-to-back performances next to delicious lounge spaces, fostering creative collisions and community conversation.

Micah Lockman-Fine’s fashion design work for his brand Stoop Kids employs strategic design and near-future speculation to imagine a more person-centered, equitable and sustainable society.
Lu Donovan is a choreographer, performer, facilitator and writer whose dance work is grounded in an improvisational practice which opens possibilities for existing in a trans body.
Together, Lockman-Fine and Donovan have danced and designed together for the past half decade while navigating their own masculine experiences. They interplay between their respective mediums to imagine and uplift joyful, embodied masculinity in the interest of combatting hegemonic patriarchal gender norms.
