Perpetual fabrication and buried social commentary are revealed with effervescent zing and cheeky truth. A show full of insights into what unites us and separates us, Driving Around takes you on a ride that is so far past stupid that it becomes compelling!


Dhaliwal is regal, commanding... arrestingly unpredictable' **** (Theatre Bubble) and brings ‘hilarious clowning skills’**** (Wee Review) by mixing ‘absurdist techniques, clowning and slapstick”**** (The List Review). And ‘an abundance of gaggery and tomfoolery… with impeccable timing and control’ **** (Theatre People Review, Melbourne).


Based in Los Angeles, this is a rare chance to see this Punjabi American comedian. Awards include Best Comedy Winner Melbourne Fringe 2019, Featured LA Weekly’s 15 Best Things to Do, Ensemble CBS Diversity Showcase 2017.


 

Cannonball, produced by Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, is the first and largest independent festival hub of the Philadelphia Fringe that presents risk-taking independent artists in back-to-back performances next to delicious lounge spaces, fostering creative collisions and community conversation.

Amrita Dhaliwal, she/her/hers, is an award-winning Punjabi American arts leader, educator and devising artist based in Los Angeles, whose work spans multiple mediums, from stage to TV & Film.
