Sierra Clark is a modern/contemporary dance artist based out of Philadelphia, PA. She has been teaching dance at youth studios for five years, and currently trains dancers at Solstice Dance Academy in Erdenheim, PA.
During her pre-professional career, Sierra trained under dancers such as Philadanco alumni Wayne Saint David and Gabriele Guma. In high school she trained under the direction of Aubrey Conley, and after dancing with the company for four years, graduated from Addicted 2 Dance.
While in college she studied modern dance with the Danco 2 Apprentice Company at Philadanco under the direction of Donald T. Lunsford II. As well as rehearsing and performing with the company, she trained in techniques such as Horton, Graham, and classical and contemporary ballet under the direction of founder and Executive Artistic Advisor, Joan Myers Brown, and Artistic Director, Kim Y. Bears-Bailey.
Sierra currently dances with Empire Dance Company under their contemporary company, ContEMPIRE, led by founder and artistic director Bree Jacobs. Here she trains and performs in contemporary and modern styles, as well as competes in industry renowned competitions such as World of Dance.
As well as dancing for Empire Dance Company, Sierra has most recently embarked on a pursuit to further develop her own choreographic portfolio, and is excited to present Mood as her first full-length choreographic work.
