Thank you for an incredible 2023 Fringe Festival! Stay tuned for information about 2024.
Performed by Anh Vo and Kristel Baldoz, non-binary pussy takes the form of a “non-binary duet” that imagines revolution through the lens of minoritarian sexuality. Part music, part dance, part propaganda, the work delivers explicit political and sexual language that is rooted in Marxist rhetoric and black female rap history. The emphasis on language and content often becomes secondary to the formal entertainment aspects in live performance —the endless punchlines, the prolific metaphors for sex, the exaggerated imagery, the collective laughter and participation, all of which allow for political transformation to be enacted more subconsciously.
Cannonball, produced by Almanac Dance Circus Theatre, is the first and largest independent festival hub of the Philadelphia Fringe that presents risk-taking independent artists in back-to-back performances next to delicious lounge spaces, fostering creative collisions and community conversation.
