I'm a black trans femme antidisciplinary artist, radical academic, pleasure anarchist, and erotic healer who works in the mediums of writing, performance, moving images, and sound. My work explores love, sex, relationships, family, history, memory, and radical joy/pleasure in the lives of women of the African diaspora and exists at the nexus of cultural activism, expressive arts healing, teaching artistry, and arts-based research. I have performed at Brooklyn Arts Exchange, JACK, AAA3A Gallery, UPenn, Theater Exile, Plays and Players Theater, and Philly Improv Theater. I was a 2019-2020 Queer Art Performance Fellow, a 2020-2021 Dramatic Question Theater American Woman Playwriting Fellow, and a Fall 2020 Brooklyn Arts Exchange Space Grantee. I am a 2021 graduate of EmergeNYC's Performance and Politics Program and a 2018 graduate of Brooklyn Arts Exchange's Needing It: Solo Performance in Queer Community Program. I recently received a Planning Grant from Scribe Video Center to make my first short narrative film. I have a B.A. in English/Creative Writing from DePaul University and a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Emerson College.
