The Infinite Possibility of Jane
If you are waiting for the apocalypse, you will recognize this place as the waiting room. Jane is your host, and the gatekeeper to the realm of the dead. While we wait for the earth to judge us, permit our passage home, and reclaim our bodies, Jane wants to know why the rules of social etiquette only apply to other humans.
The Grail of Salt
This is the Legend of Hetta Silvah, as told by Hetta Silvah, brought to you by It's Not A Ruse Theatre from a world of screams and fevered joy, where pleasantries abound in the face of pain, as directed by Hetta Silvah in collaboration with flag, day, and night, and previously known as Fishbaby-Horse, Beyond Here Lies Nuthin'!, and Life-or-Death Antics (the way of the world).
With over 100 offerings from rebellious circus, delicious dance, fearless theater and activist art to workshops, parties, and more Cannonball pushes the boundaries of live performance at four different venues this Fringe. About the Artist
Livia Chesley creates original theater through improvisation and research, influenced and guided by the lineages of clown, Butoh, and laboratory theater. They value ongoing practice as a foundation of their creative process. Livias work transports audiences with a logic that belongs to the clown. Each performance is an opportunity to connect and share something vital and sometimes, magical. Livia has studied with Christopher Bayes, Roberta Carreri, Sara Shelton Mann, Avner the Eccentric, Atsushi Takenouchi, Adam Lazarus, Miguel Gutierrez, Hilary Clark, Benot Lachambre, Oguri, Thomas Richards, The Hinterlands, and Double Edge Theater. Livias work has been seen in Berlin, Puerto Vallarta, Chicago, Detroit, Asheville, Providence, Vermont, and Massachusetts. The Infinite Possibility of Jane received the Award for Fringiest Performance at the 2024 Asheville Fringe Festival and The Grail of Salt premiered at the Providence Fringe Festival in July of 2024. Their newest projects include: Life-or-Death Antics, a Philadelphia-based experimental performance series, and Its Not a Ruse Theater, a practice & research-based cooperative of Philadelphia performers.
