This play is a passionate celebration of the genre of classic stage farce. It is based on the true—and truly farcical—story of John F. Kennedy's attempt to get Lyndon Johnson to be his vice presidential running mate, and Kennedy's little brother Bobby's attempt to get Johnson off the ticket. Confusion, chaos, and hilarity ensue... plus plenty of stairs and doors for the ingredients of a perfect farce.
With over 100 offerings from rebellious circus, delicious dance, fearless theatre and activist art to workshops, parties, and more Cannonball pushes the boundaries of live performance at four different venues this Fringe. Come as you are and stay past bedtime at cannonballfestival.org.

About the Artist
Rivka is a writer, dancer, and historian born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She lived in Massachusetts and Wisconsin before landing in Philly, which has now been her home for 3 and half years. Some of her newer friends might report that she's "obsessed with Lyndon Johnson, " but her earliest and most profound obsession was with farce, comedy, and theatre.
