WILD tells the story of an Indigenous community who must face the colonial threat of industrialization just outside their home. A group of five individuals who divine their future through the stars, the skies, the land, and the sea. Music lives within them as they speak to each other in verse. Resistance can look many different ways. How this community may choose to rise against their oppressors is a mystery. How do we revive the land that is dying right beneath our feet?
With over 100 offerings from rebellious circus, delicious dance, fearless theatre and activist art to workshops, parties, and more Cannonball pushes the boundaries of live performance at four different venues this Fringe. Come as you are and stay past bedtime at cannonballfestival.org.

JAMIE POWELL is a 22-year-old budding artist premiering their first original play titled WILD. Jamie has studied Acting and Musical Theatre for a combination of 8 years through study at Baltimore School for the Arts and Temple University (B.F.A.). After being on the stage for so long, Jamie grew curious about the stories that were left to tell. An affinity for environmental injustice and human rights lead Jamie to the creation of WILD. In addition to playwriting, Jamie is a music producer and songwriter!
