About the Artist

janoah bailin (ze/zir) *janoahanygoodjokes?* learned unicycling in the empty after-hours corridors of zir middle school, and juggling while bored at summer camp. Ze toured New England with Circus Smirkus as a teen, and now coaches a giant youth unicycle troupe in Maine (the Gym Dandies Childrens Circus) and a cardboard circus in Connecticut (the Children's Circus of Middletown). Ze tours 3 original circuses that meld movement, performance art, found puppetry and stories into stunning chaos: *SpinS* ("Best Variety" London Fringe 2019), *meSSeS* ("Spirit of the Fringe" Elgin 2022), and *rOng,* touring from Halifax and Orlando ("Pick of the Kids Fringe" 2023) to Vancouver and San Diego. In true juggling fashion janoah tosses together all kinds of gigs to survive, performing for fairs, festivals, schools, stages, parades, etc. leaving behind a wake of tumbled juggling props!
