Fringe Preferred Venues

The following venues are all actively looking for and extremely excited about hosting Fringe Artists for the 2026 Festival. They range from DIY Artist-Run Studio Spaces to Professional Performance Venues – providing you with a wide range of options to suit your show’s specific needs. All of these venues have been vetted by the Fringe Festival Coordinator.

A flexible artist-run project space in Callowhill at 319 N. 11th St. Located in a building full of multi-disciplinary studios, this affordable and inviting space is perfect for all kinds of performances and DIY producers.

  • Includes 30 chairs – space can hold more with floor seating
  • Space has soundboard & some audio equipment
  • Flexible space open to a variety of orientations

The Deep End

An artist-run performance space in Grays Ferry at 1313 S 33rd St. Located inside the beautifully preserved Queen Memorial Building, you can find flexibility and community in this creativity-inspiring venue.

More Details

  • The Deep End has 4 4×8′ wooden platforms that can be used as either raised stage space or risers for audience.
  •  8-channel PA system that is very simple to use (zero audio-tech experience needed!)
  • Homemade 6-channel lighting board that you can plug lights into (regular lamps with edison plugs– NOT stage pins). This is also very simple to use and requires zero knowledge of lighting boards.
  • We do NOT have any kind of equipment that works with QLab or similar programs, and our DIY dimmer board is completely manual (like, imagine a dimmer board made before computers)
  • We have a handful of clip lights and similarly basic lighting instruments you may borrow, but we encourage folks to bring their own.
  • We have 100 folding chairs for seating
  • The venue has a parking lot that can be used freely by artists and audiences.
  • Private entrance and easy load-in
  • 9 stairs to entrance, 18 to bathrooms once inside

Penn Live Arts: Bruce Montgomery Theatre

An intimate yet spacious space within the Annenberg Center, the home of Penn Live Arts, at 3680 Walnut St. This space is perfect for small-scale productions expecting a large crowd and seeking the highest level of professionalism and accessibility for audiences.

Old First Reformed Church

A flexible sanctuary space, serving fringe-loving Old City at 151 N 4th Street. This is NOT your grandparents church (unless your grandparents are super cool.)

The Perch

Discover this one-of-a-kind village of salon-style studios, a huge converted performance warehouse, lounge, collaboration/meeting nooks, wildflower garden, and artist lodging at 2321 Emerald St (East Kens / 2 Blocks from YorkDauphin El). This expansive venue is ready to host community gatherings and performances of any shape and size.

LOCATION NOTES:  This is East Kensington – 15 Minute Walk from Pig Iron Theatre and Crane Arts, 8 Blocks from Foreman Arts Initiative. The Perch is one block from York/Dauphin El Train, Rowhome Coffee and Lost Time Brewing. Close to Jerry’s on Front, Zig Zag, PBC, Picnic, Fiore, American Grammar Books/Coffee, and Fishtown/Frankford Ave.
