Have you ever met your past self? Have you ever been swung by your hair into the future? What do eggs mean?
Dance, acrobatics, hair suspension, and theatre collide in this first look at original work by Nicole Burgio and Jo Kramer. The world created is haunting, pretty, a little strange, but certainly not boring.
We’re eager to grow this show and hone this story. Join us at West Philly’s hidden gem, the Calvary Community Center, for this evening-length performance. We welcome your feedback and input afterward.

Nicole Burgio
IG: @nicoleburgio
With extensive experience in gymnastics, circus, and physical theater, Nicole Burgio fervently pursues movement through performance, aesthetics, technique, and education.
Nicole passionately served as an acrobatic consultant and ensemble member of Almanac Dance Circus Theater. Over the last decade, she toured America, Europe, Asia, and Mexico performing original and ensemble work, and leading educational intensives. Her solo evening-length production xoxo moongirl (produced by Almanac) received critical acclaim at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival, winning a Barrymore award in Philadelphia in 2019. Her original dance duet Myzrie House with her husband Mark Wong was commissioned by Temple University in 2021. She is a proud apprentice of Mexican hair suspension artist Ingrid Esperanza, with whom she still collaborates. Nicole entered the world of burlesque at the renowned 2024 Teaser Festival in New Orleans and was invited to compete at the 2025 Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.
As founder of The Ready Room, Nicole joyfully strives to foster an inclusive and empowering space for teaching movement and balance to all walks of life. She also teaches acrobatics at the Pig Iron MFA program in devised performance.
Jo Kramer
IG: @jo_jests
Jo Kramer (they/she) is a physical theatre artist and acrobat from southern Louisiana, with an MFA in devised performance from The Pig Iron School. Jo found a love for devised performance during the creation of the Roleplay stage play and documentary, which premiered at the SXSW film festival in 2024. Their work finds a home in human paradoxes, and they draw inspiration from queer joy, microbes, and nature's ability to adapt in the face of adversity. You may have last seen them in 2024 Fringe’s “Madcap and Busty”, which won a Fringie for nightlife & cabaret. They are so excited to be collaborating with Nicole Burgio on this incredible piece!
