Haute Glue, a razzle-dazzle exhibition by Rose Luardo, is creaming and bulging with new sculptural works, performance art, video installations, and a revolving door of live performances by her chosen family (Andrew Jeffrey Wright, The Incredible Shrinking Matt and Jacquie, McDazzler, and other siccc floozies around town). Throughout September, The Fairmount House will be transformed into a space that is part clubhouse, part stage, and part hot, wet, American, fever dream. Visitors will encounter objet d'art, videos that Rose has made with collaborators over the past 15 years, and a raging riot grab bag of performances that will leave you saying, "What happened to me? Where are my shoes and socks? Whose press-on nails are these? Why is there a pizza slice in my back pocket?" More than a show, this is an active site of collaboration, perversity, and emotional invention.
Allow this scene to massage you with body oil that is HAUTE GLUE—celebrating friendship as a radical medium and performance as a living, breathing sculpture.
You buy a ticket, you don’t know what you’ll get so you eat what Mom serves you!
If you have ever laughed at Rose's Crab Shack art installations, comedy videos, character work, or dramatic stage whiplash, well, it will be a whole lot of that. Cum on down!

Rose Luardo's work combines elements of fine art production (installation, sculpture, fiber art), costuming, and varied performance practices to achieve immersive interdisciplinary experiences. She creates moments of wholesomeness, shock, whimsy, terror, tenderness, fear, fantasy - a spectrum by which a viewer can be moved. She is up for friendship. Rose is/was part of The New Dreamz, Nulliparous Tits, and Queer Bait - all performance duos. She is also a member of The Incredible Dreamz: a 4-way video and performance group. She was a member of power-pop band Sweetheart with AND she is currently deeply obsessed and still friends with all these folks she got into the creative bed with. Here's what the bitch has to say about herself: Shaped by my experiences within the punk and DIY scenes, and in alt-comedy environments, I am invested in bringing my work to the people where they are and challenging the standards of contemporary art and traditional performance containers. I am invested in diffusing the grandiosity and elitism or exclusivity of the art world as an institution and lampooning the idea of the artist as a genius, by simply celebrating the ecstasy of performance.
