Gentrification. Police Brutality. Climate Change. Colonialism. Bad Salmon’s debut rock opera, “The Beginning of the End,” will solve none of these problems, because come on, it’s just show business. But if you care about these things, and you want to feel your feelings – laugh, cry, dance it out, and learn a thing or two in the process – then this is the show for you. And if you don’t care about these things – come anyway, you might surprise yourself!

About the Artist

Bad Salmon is a Philadelphia-based supergroup of diverse musicians performing original social justice songs that span the musical gamut from jazz and funk to klezmer and musical theater. We sing to mourn, to celebrate, to imagine, to question, to inspire, and to shine a light in the darkness. Whether youre young or old, cis or trans, gay or straight, Black or white or ethnically ambiguous, we will gladly take your money!

Many have asked, why Bad Salmon? For example, my manager, and my marketing director, and my mother. And the answer is: I liked the sound of it. Another answer is: because salmon are famous for swimming against the current to spawn - but what would happen if they just went with the flow instead? Theres a third, longer answer that has to do with the Klamath River, lox, and an old Monty Python sketch, but Im running out of characters, and
