The Guy at that Party

Reshma Meister

Clown, Comedy & Improv, Drag, Immersive & Interactive Experience, Solo Show

Connect

After staring at the television for 10 years straight, watching movie after movie in complete isolation; this guy notices something strange. The sound of a party or gathering of some sort happening on the other side of the wall. How terrifying! He pauses for a moment before he decides to do something absolutely mad. He turns off the TV, puts on his best outfit, pours himself a drink, musters up some courage and ventures out into the night. He enters the party. Now he’s looking at you.

DUMB HUB, curated by Sarah Knittel, features a chef's kiss selection of CLOWN, IDIOT, ALT COMEDY, Performance art, and Freak SH*T ONLY. A contamination of performers from across America in rep with a trash tornado of Philly favorites and once in a lifetime pop up shows. The smartest, sexiest, and most insightful of the hubs. Gobirds.

About the Artist

Reshma Meister has been developing clown bits and internet videos around Los Angeles for the past few years. She's performed at The Elysian, Dynasty Typewriter, Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, and more. She has devised work with Speigelworld, created many digital skits for Fashion Brand Company, and recently made an appearance in "Sketchy Queens" developed by Liam Krug and Jinx Monsoon. She plays regularly within the clown ensemble FLWLS and astrology clown group, PLANETS, PLANETS, PLANETS. "None of Your Business" is her latest project where she explores train of thought, etiquette, and social rules. It premiered this year at Fresno's Rogue Festival where Kings River Magazine said, "The uniqueness of None of Your Business is difficult to capture in a written description. Exquisitely weird and oddly appealing, this is one of the most “fringe” productions I have had the pleasure to experience at the Rogue. A delight from start to finish, I highly recommend it."
