Overview

When a celebrity shares a death anniversary with your dad, is it simply coincidence? Or something far more complex? A Pirate Looks at 30 is an exploration of grief, cheeseburgers, and the stories we could tell. An unraveling of truths and fictions passed down through families and songs, that work to mythologize even the most ordinary sailors. To put it simply: this is a show for anyone who is a fan of Jimmy Buffett, or my dad.

About the Artist

Kellie (Smellie) is a Chicago based multi-disciplinary artist. She is the co-host and creator of YUCK!, a freaky variety performance series, and a founding member of 'Seas and Desist,' an immersive, 'eatertainment' art collective. She is a welder by trade, and would be happy to build you a nice fence for enough money.
