Overview
Join Commonwealth Circus Center and Artivism Dance Theatre for this circus and dance extravaganza. You watch the classic American dream as it plays out for one young clown on the heels of entering the job market for the first time. Watch the story unfold with music, dancing, and yes, a little bit of mayhem, ahem, circus.
Performed by: Alex Oliva, Eris Prescott, Madyson Barbain, Arouna Guindo Leah Abel, Mandy Hackman, and Ezra Quinlan.
Directed by Sophia Herscu & Sophia Rabinovitz

A Bit About Artivism:
Artivism Dance Theatre is a collective of artists dedicated to bringing awareness to social issues through art.
We tell our own stories in an effort to reach across divisions, find commonality, and spark change. We prioritize communication of social message over esoteric performance, often using multimedia techniques in our work. We believe that art, and specifically movement, can communicate perspective and experience across gaps in culture, language, and tradition that might otherwise remain unreachable.
The collaborative is comprised of dance professionals with years of experience in both performance and instruction. Trained in a great variety of techniques, Artivism’s repertoire displays the expertise of company members ranging from movements of the African diaspora to the Ballet. We believe in the power of movement to transform our health, our lives, and our communities.
