Written by Lee Hoiby and performed by Susan Weinman and pianist Pen Ying Fang it is comprised of music draped over the words and gestures of Julia Child, the mother-of-all-foodies! October 3rd 8pm live streamed on https://fringearts.com/ and Facebook live. Following the Philadelphia premiere of this great work by Aurora Classical at the 2015 fringe festival it has become a crowd favorite selling out at it’s venue! “It’s hysterical” said Susan Weinman “although this production’s version of Julia is no more the real Julia than Dan Akroyd’s performance was, she is more like a demented cousin and not at all meant to be a true depiction of this great lady. That said the recipe for Le Gâteau au Chocolat l’Éminence Brune is indeed Julia’s. We offer it in the spirit of the lady, made by servantless American cooks.
