RATING:  5 STARShtt
BEST OF THE PHILADELPHIA FRINGE! (DC Metro Theater Arts)
“…A beautiful, flamboyant, amazing, haunting, hilarious, stunning and wickedly entertaining funereal roller coaster”.

“A show filled with nothing but highlights… REV Theatre Company’s Death Is A Cabaret Ol’ Chum is a show to die for! GO!” (DC Metro Arts)

“A consistent favorite and top ticket-seller, REV rises for another year of graveyard frivolity. Head to the cemetery for free cocktails and cabaret that spooks and stirs the soul”. (Philly Voice)

“A quirky combo of fright-night-meets-kickline-cabaret…gripping
vocals…..stunning”.
(Phindie)

“This is terrific cabaret, campy and vampy with that twist of risqué. The three member cast deliver the tunes with intimate menace”.
(“Count Kenula”)

Back (from the dead!) by popular demand and after yearly sold-out performances, New York-based REV Theatre Company will return to Laurel Hill East Cemetery to thrill and chill audiences amid the tombstones and mausoleums this September.
Conceived and created by REV’s Co-Artistic Director, Rudy Caporaso, directed by Co-Artistic Director, Rosey Hay and musically directed by Giacomo Fizzano; performed by Rudy Caporaso, Gabrielle McCarren and Leah Savin.

Sip free cocktails and imbibe with the embalmed as three departed (singing) souls appear in a misty boneyard while darkness falls and as they journey between this world and the next – all with music from Bessie Smith to Amy Winehouse, Cole Porter to Sonny & Cher.

Bring your own blankets or beach chairs, picnics and (even more) beverages for a toe-tapping, spine tingling good time!

REV Theatre Company

REV Theatre Company brings a fresh contemporary vision to existing dramatic works and company created new pieces. We present our work in unique and site-specific spaces: we have performed on the steps of the Art Museum, parking lots in New York and Philadelphia, a pier on the Hudson River, a tiny storefront on the Lower East Side of NYC, the grounds of a Victorian mansion in Cape May, two iconic Philadelphia cemeteries and dozens of parks in the Tri-State Area.
Since 2012, REV has successfully partnered with Laurel Hill Cemetery to bring our Graveyard Cabaret to the Cemetery for the Philadelphia Fringe. The show is a five star critics’ choice and a DC Metro Theater Arts Fringe First, as well as an audience favorite.

One of our trademarks is the active involvement of the audiences in our outdoor productions. We acknowledge and encourage direct communication and response from our audiences, engaging them in a collective participation with the performers, the story, the action, the space and each other. These open air productions also enable REV to engage with diverse communities in New York City, Philadelphia, Scranton, throughout Connecticut and upstate New York. REV’s educational outreach programs and senior programs are an essential part of our mission as well.
