Embodied Poetry Generation

Overview

Embodied Poetry Generation (Analog AI) is a space and an experiment in world-building. It is a portal to a story that emerges from our collected fragments of memory. It is a score that auto-generates a script in word and movement from collective memory.

We will take our fragments of memories and associations and collage them with movement via a score developed for this purpose. An unexpected collective narrative emerges spontaneously from our many responses to impossible questions.

People who have all sorts of relationships with movement, storytelling, poetry, and the infinite ways of describing life are welcome.
Past iterations of this score were held at Okay Project Space, and Flux Laboratory Athens.

About the Artist

Athena Zeros is a scribe of sinews. They were born and raised in Lenapehoking, New York and live in Athens, Greece, where they perform and direct dance and theater pieces.

Athena's work revolves around intergenerational stories, queer unravellings of narratives, and the myth of state/state of myth. They are currently performing in You, Animal Machine at RabbitHole Theater in Athens, and hold ongoing workshops/experiments around collective meaning making .

Their pieces and performances have appeared in Rabbithole Theater, Icebox Project Space, Flux Laboratory Athens, IndieFest, Allied Media Conference, Explosions from the Other Cannon, Leeds Theater, Quadrennial Leap Year Festival, Gala Magazine, Mandrogas Performance Journal, the edge of the ocean, and elsewhere.
