Overview

“A priest walks into a bar… he looks around at the awful decor, and says to the bartender, “my child, you must repaint!”

In a world premier of this new play, Harold, a recently married professional clown, dons the titular facepaint as a tribute to the life of his best friend at his funeral. He soon discovers, however, that his facepaint will not come off. This revelation sends him and his wife Maria down a strange path full of misbehaving priests, bars, churches and strip clubs in an effort to figure out why the paint is still there and how they might remove it.

A dark comedy rife with slapstick and meditations on grief, love, god and relationships, Facepaint is a play that is sure to knock your socks off.
