Forbidden Fruit

Overview

Forbidden Fruit is a contemporary circus show about freeing yourself from the conditioning to be a certain way, socially or other. It’s about sexual freedom, expression and undoing the work that has been done by many people in our lives but most importantly right at home and in our communities. It also quietly yells at the American beauty standards and is sometimes just about how sexy you dare to be.

About the Artist

Shekinah and Tyshaun have been an artistic duo for the past 4 years creating, performing and story telling beside each other. Originally based in New Jersey and trained at the Trenton circus squad. A big part of their career goal is to teach in BIPOC communities and to be making art accessible to them. Wanting to teach how to express yourself in ways that feels both authentic and daring.
