Ghost Town: The Musical – A Concept Album

Overview

Olive lives in Mars, Nebraska, mourning the death of her mother. She and her girlfriend plan to move halfway across the country – until Olive encounters her town’s ghosts, preserved only by the slivers of memory others possess of them. Olive finds herself stuck between uncovering the past and moving forward in life, wondering – Is honoring the memory truly enough if you’re not still there to relive it?

 

This concept album presents the music of Ghost Town, performed by milkmouth and an incredible team of vocalists and musicians.

Mae River Waldron (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist who mainly focuses on acting, writing of all sorts, composing, and visual arts. Randy Pilato (they/them) is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist. Linc Millard (he/they) is an actor, musician, circus performer, and friend. Together, they are milkmouth, a Philly-based band behind the new musical Ghost Town, with book and lyrics by Mae and music by the trio.

Emily Wanamaker (she/her) is a Philly-based director, playwright, dramaturg, and producer, who's been hanging around Ghost Town in some form or another for nearly two years. Along with her trusty insulin pump, she's ready to make art happen, whether it's through staging a production or creating spreadsheets.

milkmouth productions was created to support the development of Ghost Town: The Musical, and we can't wait to share this concept album with you.
