THREE FOR ALL –
A trio of short comic world premieres:
“KUKULCAN” by Ivan Taub – The crooked owner of a scam extermination business hatches a scheme with his stripper girlfriend who has a tarnished heart of gold. They’re out to con their innocent helper’s long-lost, wealthy uncle in a high-stakes poker game. Plot twists and outlandish tales move to a climax where fears are dispelled, dreams fulfilled and laughs abound.
“STEERING WILD” by Bruce Ticker – A newly matched middle-aged couple, with separate, colorful pasts drive down the road. She’s brash, loud, humorous and riding shotgun; he’s cautious, maybe just a little angry, and has his hands on the steering wheel. As they trade hilarious jabs and jibes, the highway proves an arena where they test whether or not they are mis-“matched.”
“HAPPY ENOUGH” by Anna Langman – In the Archive, an Archivist and a Robot work tirelessly at their job of receiving and cataloguing objects for collection and study. When they share stories and memories from their own pasts, they catch a glimmer of what their futures might be — if they can ever leave the Archive behind. A comic encounter between human and tech intelligence.
