About the Artist

Megan Stern is a New York-based performer who has been called “excellent” (LA Times), “utterly delightful” (Broadway World), and “a complete original” (Chicago Theater Beat). Her work has been seen in such NYC venues as Dixon Place, Ars Nova, Joe’s Pub, and HERE Arts Center, as well as the Ahmanson Theater in LA and the Kennedy Center in DC. Her solo show UPLINE: It's Not a Show, It's an Opportunity is the winner of both the Audience Pick and Critics' Choice Awards in the Atlanta Fringe Festival as well as the Artist’s Encore Pick award at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival. 

A multi-award winning artist, Shannan Calcutt is sought after as a Performer, Instructor, Director, Writer and Show Creator. She performed her iconic breast implant routine, Scotch Baggies, for millions of spectators at Cirque du Soleil's, Zumanity. She has designed comic acts for Cirque du Soleil, Spiegelworld, the philanthropic event One Night for One Drop, and Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast. Most recently, Shannan was Associate Director at Spiegelworld’s newest creation, The Hook, and will return to Atomic Saloon Show as Resident Director this fall.
