Step right up to the 2nd Hand Spectacular!

For two nights, Thunderbird Hall becomes a thrift store circus. Join Philadelphia's 2nd Hand Circus for an evening of acrobatics, juggling, clown, contortion, carnival games, and treasures from the bargain bin.

Built from found objects and thrifted materials, this original show explores value, waste, and second chances. Through contemporary circus and physical theater, performers create acts inspired by discarded items, fast fashion, repair culture, and the stories hidden in everyday objects. Some pieces are funny. Some are strange. Some might make you look at your closet a little differently.

2nd Hand Circus creates original work centered on sustainability, community care, and creative reuse. Rather than treating sustainability as a theme, we try to build it into the way we work. Costumes are thrifted, props are repaired, materials are reused, and ideas are often borrowed from whatever we can find lying around.
