About the Artist

Alexa self-identifies as a party girl. The Fringe Festival is perhaps one of the few places she'll exclaim it — in both writing and the third person. It all starts with a night out.

She has gone, and will go, anywhere for the promise of a good dance floor — her foundation for a good night out, and more recently, her life as a whole. Clubfriends is her design project: a living room turned record store where those moments are extended and explored, which debuted at the 2025 DesignPhiladelphia Festival. Her work continues at Meantime on Market, which is the second time she's moved Clubfriends from her personal home to a public location in Philadelphia, where the public is invited to explore their own lived experiences through the moments that move them: off the dance floor and on the record.

Earlier this year, Alexa partnered with ArtPhilly to host conversations with King Britt and the curators behind Blacktronika at this year's What Now Festival. As an artist at this year's Philly Fringe Festival, she'll be exploring the moments behind select shows in conversation with the artists making them possible. This all takes place in her substance-free living room, now turned record store.
