About the Artist

Philadelphia Children’s Theater creates theatrical adventures for young people and their grown-ups. Through education and artistry, we uplift children and their communities.

Our organization was born out of conversations between long-time artistic collaborators who wanted to see more opportunities for young people from all walks of life to experience accessible, high-quality theatrical performances and education. We are parents, we are artists, and we know the arts are crucial to every child’s wellbeing and development.

We create original theatrical adventures and approach well-known stories from fresh perspectives. With memorable characters and professional productions, we are committed to providing young people with exceptional, engaging theater experiences that invite them into the worlds we create.

We inspire a sense of wonder while helping children become empathetic, thoughtful humans. Our work promotes literacy, community, and curiosity about the natural world. We believe in the transformative power of play. Fun is always on the agenda.

We want theater for young audiences to be fun for adults, too. We make space for meaningful connections between young people and their grown-ups.

In the audience, on the stage, and in the classroom - we value every child. Whether they’re a regular theatergoer or they’ve only ever dreamed of being a part of the magic, every child is welcome on the adventure at Philadelphia Children’s Theater.
