Sawubona Creativity Project first Improv House Team is making their official debut — and they're coming in hot. This all-BIPOC squad is serving up hilarious, off-the-cuff improv comedy, with electric energy, razor-sharp timing, and undeniable chemistry, these performers deliver bold stories, big laughs, and unapologetic joy every time they step on stage.
Born out of Sawubona Creativity Project — a theatre rooted in storytelling, social-emotional learning, and community — this House Team is a vibrant extension of that mission. But don’t get it twisted: this crew isn’t here to lecture. They’re here to take your suggestions and spin them into hilarious scenes.
Every performer brings their unique lived experience, cultural perspective, and comedic voice to the mix — and they do it with style, purpose, and joy. In a comedy world that often centers the same voices, this improv team flips the narrative and fills the stage with representation and raw talent.
This is more than a debut. It’s a movement. A celebration of BIPOC brilliance. A comedy experience you don't want to miss!
This Fall, get ready to meet Sawubona Creativity Project BIPOC Improv House Team!
