2026 Philly Fringe lineup just announced! FringeArts Members Presale on now. Tickets go on sale to the general public 7/17 at 10am.
Bride To Be is a sharp, character-driven comedy about a woman deep in wedding planning. As she juggles cakes, DJs, and mounting family expectations, she begins unraveling the history and cultural weight of marriage — forcing herself to confront what commitment actually means to her. Torn between spectacle and substance, she must decide whether she’s planning a wedding... or redefining it altogether.
Playful, poetic, and sharply relevant, Bride To Be offers a fresh feminist take on saying “I do."
Critics are saying:
"Bride To Be is craft in its highest form. Her energy and storytelling is unmatchable." - Theater Beyond Broadway
"Millane's joy is so overwhelming that the audience can't help getting swept up in it." - Says Me Says Mom
A Home for The Homemade
The Lemonade Stand strives to create a home for new work and new artists in the expansive Philadelphia arts community. We prioritize the development process, community, and partnership. We are committed to being rough around the edges, adaptive to each process, and true to the artist's vision.
A company by and for emerging theatre artists, we aim to foster and celebrate communities of artists who create beyond The Lemonade Stand. We want to bring artists of all mediums to collaborate, find community, and unlock new creative possibilities. We are successful when artists collaborate outside the Lemonade Stand and we are proud to be a part of the next generation of Philadelphia artists.
We love homemade.
