Let's toast to the collective existential dread together and sing beautiful, sad, and hilarious songs!
Join Die-Cast for a darkly funny night of original music and classic shorts by Samuel Beckett performed by some of Philly’s finest actors. We have Beckett's What Where, Cascando, Ohio Impromptu, and of course, Catastrophe, ready to make you laugh and weep at the absurdity of it all. Our band, featuring concertina, toy piano, ukulele bass, and a bunch of music boxes, is ready to serenade you with some strange and beautiful melodies.
Expect the dynamic text work and evocative staging we have brought to our previous sold-out Fringe shows. We have two years of Fringie Awards under our belts. Our past Fringe shows have been hailed as "Weird and Wonderful" (Philadelphia Gay News) "Everything I wanted a Fringe show to be" and "Thrilling and Immediate" (Broad Street Review), and "One of my favorite Fringe shows to date" (NoProcenium)
Die-Cast is obsessed with weird spaces, so we can't wait to welcome you back to Sugar Moms, the basement bar that your elder millennial friends still wax poetic about. Bring some cash for booze to enjoy during and after the show. But like most good spaces, seating is limited, so let's commit early. We normally sell our shows out.
We have a limited engagement here in Philly before the team takes our Catastrophe Cabaret on the road, stopping in Upstate New York for a Beckett Festival and then heading on to Cape Cod to perform in the international Tennessee Williams Festival.
Featuring: Ross Beschler, Keith Conallen, Anthony Crosby, Kishia Nixon, Han Van Sciver, and Stev

Die-Cast is an artist collective that believes in radical collaboration. Our work has a focus on kinesthetic awareness, physical dynamism, and ensemble-first performance. We invite audiences into intimate and experimental performances in non-traditional spaces.
Die-Cast was created by Thom Weaver and Brenna Geffers in 2017 and has grown to a 15-person collective. We have created more than two dozen pieces since our founding. Our work has been created for a 350-acre open-air gallery, a fully immersive Virtual Reality piece, in historic museums and galleries, and even on a ship. That was pretty neat.
We have toured our work to:
