Step into the world of half-masked theater!
Inspired by the vibrant traditions of Commedia dell’Arte and Wayang Topeng masks, this fully improvised show blends drama, comedy, physical theater, and spontaneity into one unforgettable performance.
Two actors begin with a grounded, realistic scene—then take it to wild new heights. Expect the unexpected, colorful characters, and explosive transformations as heroes, villains, clowns, and lovers emerge from the story.
Don't miss this playful and daring homage to masked performance traditions!
Sawubona Creativity Project (SCP): Theatre for Performance Art & Education welcomes diverse artists, from emerging playwrights to seasoned performers. Our goal is to foster original work and community-driven productions. Our space is a home for bold, transformative performances that inspire, educate, and connect audiences through the power of live art.

Meet our cast — a wildly talented gang of veteran improvisers who thrive on character, clown, drama, and comedy (often all at once).
Tanya Morgan wears many hats (and probably improvises with them too) as Director/CEO of the Sawubona Creativity Project, Co-Producer of this show, and cast member extraordinaire. She brings heart, humor, and a whole lot of creative magic to the stage.
Meredith McDonald, our fearless Director, Co-Producer, and fellow cast member, is the mastermind who assembled this delightful bunch of weirdos. Her superpower? Spotting performers who can switch from drama to ridiculousness in a heartbeat.
Together, this crew delivers big laughs, unexpected twists, and a whole lot of playful chaos. You never know what’ll happen next — and neither do they. That’s the fun of it.
