Feed//Swallow is a symbolic journey representing Alex Brazinski and Chloe Marie's experience
as a couple who both work as artists in Philadelphia. They are inspired by the arduous but
worthwhile journey to build a life together while also pushing through a career that often asks
for individuality in order to succeed.

Themes being explored: trust//support, freedom//domesticity, jealousy//doubt, and
indulgence//repugnance. Questions guiding the process: Is creating artistic work together
feeding the relationship or suffocating it? Can your partner be your teacher? How does being
witnessed by an audience influence performance? Can a relationship be authentic when
witnessed?

Alex and Chloe are interested in exposing how, over time, the way you view your loved one
changes. How some days they are monstrous because they didn’t fold the clothes, or forget to
refill the toilet paper; and other days they are a beacon of endless possibilities, and the only
person who understands you.

With props, cue cards, and opportunities to speak with Feed or Swallow-the worlds created are
as much the audiences to imagine as it is the performers.

About the Artist

Chloe Marie:
Chloe Marie is a performer, choreographer, and educator from San Diego, CA who now resides
in Philadelphia. Chloe received her BFA in dance performance at the University of the Arts in
2017. While there, performed in works by Doug Varone, Yazmeen Godder, Sidra Bell, Faustin
Linkeyula, Jesse Zaritt, and others. Chloe premiered her solo work in 2024 “Afraid of the
Abstract” at Judson Church as part of Black Aesthetics; a weekly performance evening, curated
by Arien Wilkerson and Malcolm-x Betts, and in 2025, Chloe was selected to present work in
Philadelphia Dance Projects where she premiered “For Now”, her first evening length piece.
Chloe has contributed her movement to dance films, music videos, and has recently begun
educating students in dance technique at Drexel University. Chloe currently collaborates with
various local Philadelphia based collectives and companies as her full time job. With each
endeavor, Chloe continues to push creative boundaries, hopefully making a meaningful impact
in the Philadelphia dance landscape.
Alex Brazinski :
Alex Brazinski (he/him) is a dancer, licensed acupuncturist, and yoga instructor. He teaches a
combination of acrobatics, floorwork, and mobility in Philadelphia. After sustaining injuries as a
distance track-athlete in college, Alex pursued movement endeavors that offered greater
sustainability, creativity, and awareness. In 2023 Alex performed with the Des Moines
Metropolitan Opera in it’s production of The Love of Three Oranges as an acrodancer. In 2024,
he premiered his first evening-length solo work “Where There is Hope, There is Light...” at the
Cannonball Festival.
