FREEDOM FEST

Freedom Fest: Rhythms of Revolution is a celebration of art, organizing, storytelling, and collective liberation. As the culminating event of DayOneNotDayTwo's Cultural Organizer Fellowship, Freedom Fest brings together artists, organizers, and movement builders from Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and beyond for an unforgettable evening of performance, connection, and community action.

What begins as a fellowship experience culminates in a powerful public gathering where culture meets organizing and creativity becomes a vehicle for transformation. Through music, spoken word, theater, storytelling, film, visual art, and community activation, fellows share the stories, campaigns, and visions they have developed throughout the year.

This year's event will feature a dynamic lineup of performances, interactive exhibits, community art installations, short films, and opportunities for audience members to connect directly with organizers and artists working to build safer, healthier, and more equitable communities.

Selected from a national pool of applicants, the fellowship cohort represents a diverse group of cultural organizers using creative practice to address issues ranging from youth justice and community healing to housing, education, public safety, and civic engagement. Throughout the evening, audiences will experience powerful artistic presentations while learning about the real-world campaigns and community initiatives these fellows are leading in their cities.

As part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Freedom Fest expands the traditional boundaries of performance by inviting audiences not only to witness stories, but to become part of them.

Some performances will inspire. Some will challenge. Some will heal. All will share a common purpose: to celebrate the power of culture to build community, spark action, and imagine new possibilities for our collective future.
