Caytha Jentis is the writer, director and producer of films and stage plays. Her stories challenge the old tropes of motherhood with pathos and heightened reality humor. Her films have screened on platforms such as HBO, Showtime, Netflix, Apple TV and Amazon.
In mid-life. Caytha ran away to join the circus when she started taking aerial classes that led to her performing at venues such as The Slipper Room & House of Yes for Bushwick's Got Talent. She has gone on to produce and perform in several successful circus shows in New York City and beyond.
Caytha partnered with Maia Ramnath of Constellation Moving Company who directed and choreographed the show. Maia wears many hats including aerialist, dancer, choreographer, writer, aerial teacher, history professor and NYC tour guide. Since 2009, Maia has been creating multi-disciplinary work as co-founder/director of Constellation Moving Company (collective projects) Constellation Moving (solo work). As a freelance performer Maia has worked with many dance and circus artists including most recently Pat Catterson Dance and Fly By Night Aerial Dance Theater.
