Kat Brown is a multidisciplinary artist working across dance, performance, and visual art. Her work has been presented throughout New York City at Center for Performance Research and Triskelion Arts. Across the United States, she has shown work at CounterPulse and Fort Mason Center for the Arts in San Francisco, and at Icebox Project Space in Philadelphia as a Cannonball artist at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Internationally, her work has been presented by Choreographic Figures and Impulstanz in Vienna, Lake Studios in Berlin, and Sozo and Visions in Motion in Kassel.
Her practice has been supported by residencies and fellowships including Impulstanz’s Atlas Program, Performing Arts Forum, LEIMAY, Motive Brooklyn, and Sozo. Kat holds an MFA in Performance and Performance Studies from Pratt Institute and an MA in Performance Studies from New York University, with additional training through Gibney and Melanie Maar’s Process as Guide DIY MFA.
