Thank you for an amazing 2024 Fringe season! Stay tuned for 2025 Fringe Festival dates.
The Performance Garage is proud to present the work of our DanceVisions Resident Artists alumni-dancers-choreographers: Dr. yaTande Whitney V. Hunter (2022), Weiwei Ma (2023), and Meredith Rainey (2024) + a performance by our YouthMovesstudents.
We will showcase Rainey’s Building, Ma’s 24 Solar Terms, and Hunter’s Prelude: Site of Becoming. From backgrounds as diverse as the Martha Graham Company, to China’s Beijing People’s Republic Arts Academy, to the Philadelphia Ballet, this collection of choreographers has created work on a variety of dance companies locally, nationally, and internationally.
Also, you’ll see our YouthMoves program high school students from Franklin Learning Center who will perform a short Katherine Dunham work directed by their incomparable director, Dana Williams.
These are top-tier Philadelphia choreographers in curated works at the Performance Garage, Philadelphia’s home for dance.

The Performance Garage is dedicated to nurturing and supporting dance artists, companies, educators, and choreographers.
Founded in 2000 by Jeanne Ruddy and Victor Keen, the Performance Garage is housed in a historic 19th-century building that was originally a horse stable. Since 2002, the façade and interiors were renovated, and the space was transformed into supportive non-profit dance studios with residencies, educational programs, and a 105-seat dance theater.
The Performance Garage provides the DanceVisions Resident Artist with mentorship, marketing, publicity, box office, and a $10, 000 stipend. Included in their support is video documentation, photography, and light design for their three-performance season when they premiere their new residency choreography.
