Thank you for an amazing 2024 Fringe season! Stay tuned for 2025 Fringe Festival dates.
FutureJam '94 is a dance piece about utopian futures that never happen, 90s nostalgia, and our collective loss of attention.
The 1990s saw a future that was ahead of time. A highspeed world that was driven by innovation and forward progress; all problems were solved and pieces of history floated in front of a white background ready for us to dissect. Meanwhile, tech companies were developing ways to monetize the free spaces of our minds, inventing things like infinite scroll, and games within ads within ads. Inspired by utopian scholastic design, house dance, and surveillance capitalism, FutureJam '94 asks us "wait, what was I just doing?" and pulses and grooves its way back to a place of mind wandering, connection, and imagination.
