Gut Healthy probes the insanity of algorithmic repetition, wellness culture, and digital noise through clowning, harsh sound, and experimental media loops. Equal parts absurd, unsettling, and hilarious, this performance invites you to buckle up for a roller-coaster ride through the digestive tract of the internet. Prepare to be sucked into an infinite social media vortex as Jesha screams at you about her sourdough bread!
Cannonball is the largest hub of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, championing a revolutionary artist-led model that prioritizes equity, experimentation, and community connection. Now in its sixth year, Cannonball presents more than 100 artists across five stages, representing nearly 30 percent of the overall Philadelphia Fringe Festival. From rebellious circus and delicious dance to fearless theater and activist art, Cannonball pushes the boundaries of live performance while creating a vibrant, artist-centered ecosystem for independent performance makers and adventurous audiences alike.

About the Artist
James Gentile (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist based in Philadelphia. In their compositions, they collage textures, samples, and instrumentation, challenging the constraints of established music to craft new sounds irreverent to genre. As a sound designer and composer, their work has been presented at New York Live Arts, Movement Research at Judson Church, and previous Cannonball Festivals. Grounded in creative risk, their fluid practice also includes frequent collaborative experiments across the Philly DIY, comedy, and clown scenes. They hold a BFA from Pratt Institute, and their debut album, Notes From a Heavenly Soup, is available via people | places | records.
