About the Artist

Jim Christy is an award-winning playwright, filmmaker, novelist, and comedian. His one-hour stand-up show I THINK NOT premiered at the Algonquin Hotel in NYC in May 2026; his previous solo show, NOT RIGHT NOW, was part of the Philly Fringe in 2022.

His play LOVE AND COMMUNICATION won the Brown Martin Barrymore Award in 2012 and was later adapted into a feature film, now available on Amazon and Apple TV. He received the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship for Playwriting in 2025. 

In a past life he was an actor with a featured role in the film DEAD POETS SOCIETY (yes, he stood on his desk).
