It’s a Magic Show Dammit!

Chase the Entertainer

Connect

It’s either a comedy show with some magic or a magic show with some issues.

Chase the Entertainer is a magician who delivers dumb jokes and sharp sleight-of-hand with hands that absolutely will not stop shaking. Welcome to a one-hour comedy magic show held together by charm, duct tape, and a neurological condition.

This show is a love letter to the kind of people who chase ridiculous dreams against better judgment. It’s fast, funny, deeply personal, and absolutely unhinged. You’ll see card tricks, rope tricks, coins appearing in places they shouldn’t, rings doing things they have no business doing, and a finale that definitely shouldn’t involve a knife but does.

But here’s the catch: every part of this show is also about making something work anyway. It’s magic performed not in spite of the obstacles, but directly through them.

“It’s a Magic Show Dammit!” is funny. It’s clever. It’s sincere, stupid, and occasionally profound.
No rabbits. No top hats. No idea how we got here. Just a guy with shaky hands, an ability to laugh at himself, and an audience willing to go along for the ride.

Buy a ticket, it’s cheaper than therapy.

About the Artist

Chase the Entertainer is a magician, comedian, and former street performer who cut his teeth doing up to ten shows a day at Pier 39 in San Francisco—shouting at strangers until they laughed, clapped, and tipped.

These days, he performs across the country traveling with a toddler, a bag of snacks, and a copilot who keeps everyone alive and mostly on time. (Their kid’s been in more states than most adults and still isn’t impressed by card tricks.)

Chase is mentally ill, physically disabled, and still somehow turns it into a show instead of a breakdown. His hands shake due to a neurological condition called essential tremors. Instead of hiding it, he’s built it into his show—along with bipolar disorder, ADHD, and an absurd sense of humor. The result is comedy magic that’s sharp, unpredictable, and deeply human.

Equal parts circus act, stand-up set, and autobiographical meltdown, Chase’s work is rooted in a single belief: if everything’s already a little broken, you might as well make it entertaining.
