In The Breakdown, performers take on a new theme and break it down scene by scene using a classic Chicago improv comedy form called The Deconstruction aka “The Decon.”
Each show starts with taking an audience suggestion based on the month’s theme to inspire a simple, grounded scene. Themes emerge that are explored, pulled apart, and twisted around as the show ramps up into near-frenzied fast-paced scenes barreling to the end.
“The midweek comedy event of the century!”
