On his first day aboard a trash-collecting space station, Meat Show cracks his helmet ... what a butterfingers! With oxygen running low and a final wish on his lips, he pleads with the audience (aka "the stars") for one last wish: to matter ... and ... to clock out early ... and ... to see his Babe. (Is that one wish or three?)
While gasping for air (and for more wishes?), Meat Show begins to realize that true love might cost him everything. Meat Show in Space is a lo-fi hero’s journey that features live music, middle fingers to “Big NASA” & diabolical emotional depth.
Experience the immersive show Denver Westword calls, “a standout example of absurdity” and a performance Meat Show considers to be, “actually kind of sexy?”
DUMB HUB, curated by Sarah Knittel, features a chef's kiss selection of CLOWN, IDIOT, ALT COMEDY, Performance art, and Freak SH*T ONLY. A contamination of performers from across America in rep with a trash tornado of Philly favorites and once in a lifetime pop up shows. The smartest, sexiest, and most insightful of the hubs. Gobirds.

Alice Gillette is a Denver-based writer, comedian and clown (if that’s okay). She co-founded Idiot Theatre, Denver’s first twice-monthly clown show, and produces weird shows all over Denver. A journalist once called Alice “remarkably intelligent”, and upon reading this, Alice looked up the definition of “remarkably” on the internet.
Her performances as Meat Show have been described as “dripping in satire” and “delightfully dadaist” by audiences and as “a force to be reckoned with both inside and outside of the alt-comedy scene and the world of clown” by local press (Out Front Magazine).
First hand, Alice has heard different versions of the following endorsement many times after shows: “my boyfriend actually liked it!”
When Alice isn’t busy finding prop trash in the alley behind her house, she teaches clown and creative process workshops in her community.
