About the Artist

Ubin Theatre is an independent performance company founded by

Daniel Ubin Burgess as a home for interdisciplinary theatrical work. Rooted in experimentation and a desire to blend artistic forms, Ubin Theatre serves as the primary creative outlet for Burgess’s original written projects.

Since its founding, Ubin Theatre has developed a growing body of original work. Monologues of Spotted Minds premiered at the Fringe Festival in 2022, followed by Testing Site with Cannonball in 2023. Most recently, in 2025, Urinal was presented at the Fringe Festival, earning a Five Star Award and marking a significant milestone in Daniel’s artistic development.

Alongside larger productions, Ubin Theatre has created smaller experimental works, including Four for Four through UMA Fringe, which directly inspired the development of Moral Injury. Through each project, the company continues to investigate new theatrical languages and performance techniques, embracing collaboration, curiosity, and risk.

At its core, Ubin Theatre is dedicated to creating work that defies easy categorization. Diverse forms intersect to challenge, connect, and provoke reflection.
