This project is an exploration of the construction of masculinity. While critical and through a trans lens it is also sentimental, absurdist, and mythologizing. With Red himself inspired by the story of Geryon in Anne Carson's autobiography of Red, we meet a character who is awkward and silent as he performs his fate. This fate is intertwined with that of the other dancer who is made of gray clay. These two characters dance through a series of archetypes in an effort to construct themselves. This piece crosses many mediums of performance including: dance, drag, clown, and poetry.
