Once! An Improvised Tale is an imaginative and highly interactive theatrical experience designed especially for children and families. At its heart, this unique show is a co-creation between performers and the audience. Guided by the spontaneous ideas, suggestions, and wild imaginations of young audience members, a troupe of talented improvisers crafts an entirely original fairy tale—live, and unscripted.

Unlike traditional theatre where the script is fixed and the outcome is known, Once! begins with nothing but the enthusiasm of its audience and the improvisers’ creative minds. From there, anything can happen. A dragon might turn into a dance instructor. A brave squirrel could battle a jellybean storm. A sleepy kingdom might be saved by a kid with a kazoo. The possibilities are endless—because the story is built in the moment, inspired by the ideas children call out from their seats or share from the stage. Once!
